Donald H. Miller "Bud" Obituary

Donald H. Miller "Bud" 94, Menasha, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2012, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. He was born February 21, 1918, in Mankato, Minnesota, son of Ed and Bessie (Nettles) Miller. On June 9, 1939, Donald married the love of his life, Catherine Ness in Dubuque, Iowa. She preceded him in death March 9, 2009. Bud was proud to be employed at Schneider Allied; along with being their first driver, he was an owner-operator for Allied Van Lines. He received several awards for his excellence in the field. He enjoyed playing cards and loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much. Donald is survived by his children: Nancy A. (Kenneth) Biettler, Larsen; Tom (Vickie) Miller, Arnold, Missouri; 6 grandchildren: Julie (Alan) Delikowski; Catherine (Bruce) Brazee; Sean Miller; Tricia (Jon) Holtkamp; Michael (Kim) Zegers; John (Cheryl) Zegers; 11 blessings of great grandchildren; a sister, Thelma (Ken) Hannen, Verona; sisters-in-law: Mary Franzen; Jackie Gerondale; Myrtle Schmidt; a brother-in-law: James (Barb) Ness; many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Donald was also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Mae Vollmer; sisters: Garnetta (Wally) Kramer; Gloria (Joe) Schott; sister-inlaw, Patricia Basche; brothers-in-law: Fred Franzen; Richard Gerondale; Andrew Schmidt and John Ness, Jr. A gathering of family and friends to celebrate Donald's life will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2012, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Donald's name. Service Information A service summary is not available
