Richard John Huey, 76, Neenah, died on Saturday, October 22, 2016. He was born on March 30, 1940, in Hutchinson County, SD, to the late Benjamin and Letta (Stiefel) Huey. Richard proudly served his country as a Marine. He was united in marriage to Jo Engelhaupt on June 18, 1973 in Mitchell, SD. Richard was a very proud member of the Union employed as a Journeyman Electrician. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in the great outdoors. Richard drove stock cars, watched birds, liked to garden and expanded on his ever growing collections. Most important to Richard was spending time with his family, he loved them dearly. He is survived by his wife Jo, children: Denise (Wayne) Anderson, Janise (Chad) Calkins, Dawn (Curt) Hendrickson, Patrick (Julieta) Huey, Shane Huey and Keith Huey, 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, sister Harriett Gukeisen, brothers: Howard (Judy) Huey and Charles (Laurice) Huey, other relatives and many friends. Richard was preceded in death by his son Chad Huey and brother Robert Huey. A Vigil Service will be held at 6:15 PM, Wednesday, October 26, 2016, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Interment will be in the Dakota City Cemetery, SD. Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
