Antonia Helen "Toni" Klassen

Antonia H. Klassen, 95, formerly of Neenah, died on Saturday, August 11, 2012, at Park View Health Center, Oshkosh. Toni was born on December 29, 1916, in Casco, WI, daughter of Charles and Nettie (Koss) Jandourek. She was united in marriage to Lester G. Klassen in February of 1941. He preceded her in death in June of 1992. Toni was a dedicated housewife who thoroughly enjoyed time spent with her family especially her children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker who was well known for her poppy seed kolaches. Toni also enjoyed gardening, quilting, braiding rugs, and time spent up north at the family cottage on Perch Lake. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha. Antonia is survived by her children: Sue Tyriver, Steve Klassen, and Mike (special friend Vicky) Klassen, all of Neenah; two grandchildren: Dr. Sam Tyriver, Tempe, AZ, and Andy (Dr. Carla Lagoria) Tyriver, Eau Claire, WI; two brothers: Charlie (Pat) Jandourek, Appleton, and Elmer (Marion) Jandourek, Menasha; a brother-in-law: Bob Schiefelbein; and many nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, Toni was further preceded in death by four sisters: Agnes and Mabel Jandourek, Rose Steffens, and Cele Schiefelbein; and two brothers: Richard and Raymond Jandourek. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, with Fr. Larry Abler, O.F.M. Cap. officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the mass. A memorial has been established in Toni's name.
