Obituary John A. Landwehr, age 90 of Neenah, passed away peacefully in his sleep of Parkinsons disease on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Gardens of Fountain Way in Menasha. John was born on August 26, 1927 in Seymour son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Eisch) Landwehr. He attended Seymour High School with the class of 1945 until he enlisted in the Navy in 1944 and in 1946 joined Admiral Byrds 2nd expedition to the South Pole. John served in both World War II and the Korean War. He was proud to be able to go on the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2012. He enjoyed playing cribbage and Sheepshead, golfing and any small woodworking projects. John married Germaine Ebert on June 2, 1949 and she preceded him in death on July 8, 1978. He then married Marilyn Arnoldussen on September 11, 1982 and she survives him. He is also survived by two daughters, Lorelei (Ron) Dombrowski and Elise (Michael) Kenney; a daughter-in-law, Sandy (Roy) Kieffer, 7 step children; Tim Arnoldussen, Dianne (David) Rose, Sally Arnoldussen, Peggy (Will) Pinkonsly, Steve Arnoldussen, Theresa (Rick) Bloch and Joe (Lynda) Arnoldussen; six grandchildren, Lonni (Lyndon) Lattie Kristin Fullerton, Ryan Dombrowski, Erin Kenney, Brianna (Ryan) Roehrborn and Michaela Kenney 10 great-grandchildren, 23 step-grandchildren, 13 step great-grandchildren and a sister, Myrtle (Gene) Prisco. John was preceded in death by a son Lonald Landwehr, a step-granddaughter, Kara and 9 siblings, Josephine, Lorraine, Thomas, Lucille, Margaret, Alice, Beatrice, Joseph and Susie, along with their spouses. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 18, 2018 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 324 Nicolet Blvd., Menasha, with Fr. Jim Hablewitz and Pastoral Leader Mary Krueger officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Full military honors will be performed by the Neenah-Menasha Honor Guard following the services. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Black Creek. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Gardens of Fountain Way and Heartland Hospice, especially Julie and staff for all of the care given to John.
