James F. Beyer "Jim"

James Beyer, 72, Menasha, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011, at Theda Clark Medical Center, after health complications with his family by his side. He was born February 15, 1939, in Wausau, son of Adolph and Mildred (Meihack) Beyer. James married Mora G. Geider April 16, 1966, at Zion Lutheran Church, Gresham. He was employed as a biomedical technician at Milwaukee County Hospital, Milwaukee and St. Elizabeth Hospital, Appleton for 28 years until his retirement. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Menasha, where he formerly served as an usher and board member. James enjoyed anything involved with computers. Mr. Beyer was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving for 4 years. James is survived by his wife, Mora; 2 nephews: Collins (Mary Anne) Pieper, Springfield, IL; Gary Pieper, Luxemburg; great nieces, great nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank (Pearl) Geider; 2 sisters-in-law: Anita (George) Kleist and Janet (Lester) Pieper; Gary's wife, Sue Pieper. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Pastor Steven Billings officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Jim's family wishes to thank Vallhaven Care Center and staff along with Theda Clark Medical Center and staff for their wonderful care and compassion.
