Jeanette Ann McDowell

Jeanette McDowell, 90, Neenah, died Monday, September 12, 2011, at Colony Oaks Care Center. She was born August 29, 1921, in Neenah, daughter of Siefried and Ida (Reinke) Kuhr. Jeanette married Edward R. "Micky" McDowell October 7, 1944, celebrating 58 years of marriage before he preceded her in death December 3, 2002. Jeanette was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Menasha where she sang in the choir along with assisting in cleaning the church. Jeanette is survived by 2 sons and a daughter: Michael (Judi) McDowell, Neenah; Daniel McDowell, Neenah; Patrice McDowell, Neenah; 3 grandchildren: Rebecca McDowell, Wausau; Andrew (Laura) McDowell, Lake Villa, IL; Megan McDowell, Menasha; 2 great grandchildren: Hank and Finn, (twins) McDowell, Lake Villa, IL; a sister, Maron Cleveland; nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Siefried and Ida Kuhr; 2 brothers: Howard and Roy Kuhr; 1 sister, Mabel Pearson. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2011, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah, with Mary Krueger officiating. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the time of the service.
