Rosetta I. Thoyre Obituary

Rosetta Thoyre, 91, Menasha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Adare Place in Menasha. She was born on June 29, 1920, in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, to Henry and Emma (Unger) Meloy. Rosetta was united in marriage to August J. Hansen on January 1, 1938 in Cedarburg and he preceded her in death on May 29, 1955. After her marriage to August, Rosetta then married Wilbert E. Thoyre in Waukegan, IL on May 2, 1958, and he preceded her in death on August 16, 1996. She was a member of First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pillager, MN, and enjoyed cribbage, lunch with her friends, and crossword puzzles. Rosetta is survived by a daughter-in-law: Dixie Thoyre; grandchildren: Matthew Hansen, David Thoyre, Janelle Tate, Randy Thurow, and Rodney Thurow; great grandchildren: Kyra, Kai, Zeffen, and Zetta Thurow, and Hunter Tate; a brother Tim (Meredith) Meloy; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, and husbands: August and Wilbert; Rosetta is also preceded in death by sons: James Hansen and Charles Thoyre; a daughter: Lillian Thurow; a grandson: Warren Hansen; three brothers; and three sisters. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2011, at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. At 6:30 p.m. Dixie Thoyre will conduct a final farewell. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4:00 p.m. Sunday, until the time of the service. A memorial fund has been established in Rosetta's name. Rosetta's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Adare Place and also the staff at Heartland Hospice for their wonderful care.
