Gertrude J. LaCount
Gertrude LaCount, 97, Appleton, died after a brief illness, Friday, April 1, 2011, at Brewster Village, where she was a resident since 2007. Trudy was born August 11, 1913, in Neenah, daughter of Anthony and Catherine (Sokolowski) Humski. Gertrude is survived by a daughter, Marilyn (Dick) Olson, Hot Springs Village, AR; a son, Ronald (Judy) LaCount, Neenah; 6 granddaughters: Cindy Pierce, GA; Amy (Joe) Charmonte, AR; Johna (William) Scovronski, who was her devoted caregiver, Neenah; Christine Shiels, MI; Tammy (Mike) Kron, Neenah; Lisa (Aubrey) Jackson, GA; 3 step-grandchildren: Jay (Pam) Olson, Neenah; Jodi Wooding, WI; Jeff (Jeannie) Olson, MN; 5 great grandchildren: David and Jessica Merrill, Nicholas Backman, and Brandon and Hunter Kron; a sister, Lucile Walker, Appleton; a brother-in-law, Robert LaCount, Menasha. Trudy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Norbert Nubs LaCount, and a grandson, Jeffery LaCount. In accordance with Trudys wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at St. Mary Cemetery, Menasha. Trudys family would like to thank all of the staff at Brewster Village for their loving care and compassion.
