Bonnie Lee Losse Obituary

Bonnie Losse, 60, Town of Menasha, died with her loving husband by her side at their home after a courageous battle with cancer Saturday, February 5, 2011. She was born September 9, 1950, in Neenah daughter of Wilbur and Rose (Pitsch) Schafer. Bonnie married the love of her life, Gilbert Gib Losse February 19, 1982, in Las Vegas. Bonnie was a 1969 graduate of Neenah High School and a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah. She was employed at WS Packaging for 22 years until her illness caused her to retire. Over the years Gib and Bonnie owned and operated Gibs Place in Greenville, The Owl Bar and Paynes Point Tavern in Neenah. Bonnie and Gib were inseparable; a very loving, devoted couple. Bonnie had a love of flowers and took great pride in her beautiful gardens. She also found time for cooking, crafting and entertaining. But most important to Bonnie was the time with family, friends and her many dogs. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Gib; mother, Rose (Schafer) Ertl, Neenah; 2 brothers: Peter (Donna) Schafer, Winneconne; Joe (Sandy) Schafer, Larsen; a sister, Joyce Babbits, Menasha; step daughter, Carla (David) Earl, Neenah; 2 stepsons: Randy (Denise) Losse, Neenah; Reese (Michelle) Losse, Waupaca; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur Schafer; brother, William Schafer; step son, Reed Losse; step father, Jerome Ertl. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2011, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah and 10:00 a.m. Thursday at the church until the time of the mass. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established. Bonnie enjoyed working with the wonderful people of WS Packaging and missed them dearly following her retirement. They never forgot her and kept in contact, even including Bonnie in a number of small get-togethers. She was so appreciative of the raffles, bake sales and donated personal time. A special thank you to Deeann for all her visits and support. She treasured your friendship. The family would like to send a special thanks to Fox Valley Oncology for their exceptional care and support, especially Dr. Phillips, Daisy, Brenda, Cindy and the rest of the staff. Another note of thanks to nurse Judy and case worker Ann of Theda Care Hospice for their care and compassion. Service Information A service summary is not available
