Obituary
Dennis A. Missall, age 75, of Woodruff formerly of Neenah, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 5, 2022. Dennis was born on January 5, 1947 in Neenah, son of the late Arthur and Hazel (Hartzheim) Missall. After graduating from Neenah High School in 1965 he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1969 where he served off the shores of Vietnam on the U.S.S. Henry B. Wilson. Dennis married his high school sweetheart in 1967 celebrating 55 years this past May. Dennis obtained an apprenticeship as a Journeyman Patternmaker and worked at Neenah Foundry for 11 years. He also worked at General Woodcraft, Quality Pattern, and B&H Pattern. Dennis retired in 2000 and moved to the Woodruff-Arbor Vitae area and built his dream home. He spent several summers teaching boys woodworking at Red Arrow Camp on Trout Lake. He enjoyed working down in his workshop, making furniture and toys for the family. Dennis loved the lake, working in the yard, and especially loved hugs from his grandchildren. Every summer several weeks were set aside for "grandchildren only" visits.
In addition to his wife Susan, Dennis is survived by his children Scott (Jodi), Mark (Kim), Robb (Kristen), Patrick (K.C.) and his ten grandchildren. Also, brother Donald (Ruth) and sister Debra Brown (William).
He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Hazel, brother David and his wife Dani.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday September 9, 2022 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church 900 Geiger St., Neenah with Fr. Bob Kollath officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services. Military Honors will be performed by the Neenah-Menasha Funeral Honors Team following services.
