Richard Dale Dennis Obituary

On Sunday, November 20, 2022, Richard Dale Dennis, loving grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend, passed away at the age of 74. He was born to the late Leon and Dorothy Dennis in Macon, GA on March 12, 1948 and was of the Baptist faith.

A longtime resident of Warner Robins, Dale retired from the City of Warner Robins as an animal control specialist and owned a painting company he called Dale Dennis Painting. Aside from being a hard worker, he was undoubtedly a man of many talents and interests. Dale was an avid outdoorsman, loved showcasing taxidermy in his home, made his own personal trappings, and was a longtime member of the Georgia Trappers Association. He was honored to be inducted into the Georgia Trappers Association Hall of Fame in 1999. Dale was also an accomplished boxer having won the Golden Gloves in Georgia. Although Dale had many hobbies to keep him busy, his home and family life always came first. He was such a selfless man who was always thinking of others. Dale’s love for the outdoors, his family and friends, and even his nostalgia for the 1970s and 1980s will always live in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving granddaughters, Samantha Moore (Wesley) and Tabitha Dixon, his great-grandchildren, Colton Moore, Greyson Moore, Adalynn Nelson, Dawson Moore and Isaias Hernandez-Castro, and sister, Joyce Dennis Jackson, all of Warner Robins. In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his daughter, Deirdre Williams; and his brother, Wendell Dennis.

Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Following the service, Dale will be laid to rest with a graveside service for his immediate family and close friends at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Dale to the Georgia Trappers Association, 9969 GA Hwy 102 W., Mitchell, GA 30820.
