Danny Reece Fleenor

<p>Danny Reece Fleenor, age 74, of Johnson City, TN passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at the VA Medical Center. He was born December 8, 1947 in Bristol, VA, a son of the late Charles and Ruby Hill Fleenor. Danny served our nation in the United States Marine Corps. He was a Vietnam veteran and earned the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnamese Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, and Good Conduct Medal. He retired from Charter as a cable technician. He was a loving father and grandfather always taking an interest in his children’s lives. Danny coached his children in their sports. He was loved by all and will be missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Sandra Fleenor, Linda Barker, and Charles Frank Fleenor and wife Peggy, and brother-in-law, Cecil Barker.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his children, Brittany Odum and husband Brad, Beau Fleenor and wife Kendra, and Lucas Fleenor and wife Brooke; grandchildren, Ty Fleenor, Annie Fleenor, Levi Fleenor, Asher Grindstaff and Abby Odum; mother of his children, Jane Fleenor; siblings, Jean Barker, and Doug Fleenor and wife Cathy; brother-in-law, Roger Barker; and several nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>A graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Mountain Home National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the U.S. Marine Corps Honor Guard and Veterans Honor Guard DAV 39. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been made with Weaver Funeral Home and Cremation Services.</p><p><br></p>

Danny and I were classmates all thru school together and were neighbors for for a long long time. Have a lot of fun memory’s at Abrams Falls. He was always fun to be around. I appreciate his service to our country. Johnny Barker
