<p>Mary Louise Miller, 84, of Farmer City, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Carle Foundation Hospital.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary was born on April 16, 1938, in Lexington, Illinois to Alma and Everett Cockrell. She was married to Oris Miller on November 24, 1957. They nearly reached the incredible milestone of 65 years together.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary is survived by her devoted husband, Oris, and two children, Mark (Laurie) Miller of Sidney, and Sandy Fitzgerald of Urbana. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were a source of great joy for her. Mary had eight grandchildren, Penny, Jamey, Shawn, Tony, Christopher, Patrick, Shannon, and Seth, and nine great grandchildren, Olivia, Jesse, Trevor, Owen, Emma, Aurora, Savina, Henry, and Maevelyn. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister June, son-in-law Richard, and grandchildren Jamey and Patrick.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary enjoyed a full life and lived it to the fullest. She and Oris spent their younger years camping with their children and later enjoyed traveling across the country in their motorhome. They spent an amazing summer in Alaska, and for a number of years, they wintered in Mississippi and Alabama. Mary was a very talented crafter and blessed her family with many treasured handmade heirlooms. She regular participated in local craft shows and cultivated quite a following for her unique crafts.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary faced her illness with the same dignity, strength, grace, and faith that she did her life. No matter what was thrown at her, she would simply smile and say, “Well, it could be worse.” Oris and Mary spent the last 65 years of their lives traveling this journey together, side by side, and each always supporting the other. Their devotion knew no bounds.</p><p><br></p><p>There will be no formal services, but Mary will be laid to rest at Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign. In lieu of sending flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Thank you very much.</p>
