Tom once said, “I was raised on a mule.” As a child he would ride mules to his favorite fishing spot and go hunting, “hunting everything down to swamp rabbits and turtles.” Tom was raised on a river bend in Kentucky and used his mules for farming and logging once settling in Missouri. He hauled mules and horses out of Wyoming and considered this to be “big business” in his time.
