<p>PORT BARRE ~ A graveside service will be held Friday, November 25, 2022 at 1:30 p.m. in Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 Hwy 182, Opelousas, LA 70570) for Glenn Thomas Fontenot, age 74, who passed away Saturday, November 19, 2022 at Opelousas General Health System.</p><p><br></p><p>Mr. Fontenot was a native of Opelousas and a longtime resident of Port Barre. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Glenn loved being outdoors and was also a big fan of camping.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include his sons, Chris Fontenot (Brandy) of Port Barre and Shane Fontenot of Opelousas; two brothers, Gene Robert Fontenot and Mark Keith Fontenot; a sister, Rita Fontenot Hawkins; and his grandson, Andrew Michael Fontenot.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his wife, Sherry Lynn Guillory Fontenot; his parents, Alvin Fontenot and the former Ozelina Tabb; two brothers, Warren Fontenot and Alvin Earl Fontenot; and three sisters, Audrey F. Richard, Patricia F. Cain, and Marguerite F. Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>The family requests that service attendees arrive at Bellevue Memorial Park (4833 Hwy 182, Opelousas, LA) in time for the service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday.</p><p><br></p><p>Melancon Funeral Home of Opelousas, 4708 I-49 North Service Road, (337) 407-1907, is in charge of arrangements.</p>May 20, 1948 - November 19, 202205/20/194811/19/2022
