Louise Bennett (Fales) Earle, 99, of Hopedale, died Mon. October 16, 2017 at Countryside Healthcare of Milford. She was the wife of the late Fred L. Earle for 65 years before his passing in 2002. Mrs. Earle was employed as an office administrator for the former Draper Corporation in Hopedale for 20 years before retiring in 1978. She had previously worked as a sales clerk at the former Carol Cut-Rate store in Milford. She was born May 15, 1918 in Marlborough, daughter of the late John A. and Mable L. (Jackman) Fales and was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1936. Louise had been a longtime resident of Mendon and had previously lived in Milford and Hopedale. Mrs. Earle was a longtime member of the First United Methodist Church of Milford and an active member of the Women’s Society of the church. She was also a past member of the church’s choir. In recent years, she was a member of the Hopedale Union Evangelical Church in Hopedale. She is survived by a son Richard L. Earle of Uxbridge; a daughter Elizabeth L. Prophet of Hopedale; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be held on Thurs. Oct. 19, 2017 from 6-8 PM in the BUMA-SARGEANT FUNERAL HOME, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Fri. Oct. 20, 2017 at 10 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Hopedale Village Cemetery, Rte. 16, Hopedale.
