Serena Jewell Collins, 21, of Springfield, died on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.

Serena was born January 1, 2001, in Springfield, the daughter of Josh Collins and Crystal Cadwell.

She was employed as a pharmacy tech at Walmart. Serena loved being outdoors. She also enjoyed fashion, listening to music, watching movies and spending time with family and friends. Serena was a big animal lover and was particularly fond of butterflies.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ed Collins and her cat, Carl.

Serena is survived by her parents, Josh (April M.) Collins of Clayton and Crystal (Jason H.) Cadwell of Springfield; maternal grandparents, Kevin (Karen Sue) Cadwell and Gaye Ann “Dusty” Lyons; paternal grandmother, Judy (Glenn) Farmer; great-grandmother, Virginia Richards; siblings, Alaina Cadwell, Alyssa Cadwell, Kali Collins, Aubree Collins, Joshua Collins, Jr., and Axel Collins; aunts and uncles, April (Gabe) Woodard, Amanda Burton, Joe Burton, and Brian (Melina) Collins; niece and nephew, Aliyana and Odin Barfield; beloved friend, Aaron Myers III; and several extended family members.

Cremation was provided by Butler Cremation Tribute Center.

Private family ceremonies were held.
