Funeral Service for Mrs. Virginia Haynes Duke, age 97, of Springhill, LA, will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, November 20, 2022, at Bailey Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Everett officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Springhill, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 20, 2022, 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Duke was born on December 25, 1924 to Judson and Cary Haynes in Springhill, LA and passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2022 in Bossier City, LA.

She was the matriarch of her family and loved them foremost. She enjoyed gardening, and going to her children's and grandchildren's ball games; and was an active member of Springhill Methodist Church until her health declined.

She is survived by her daughter, Pam Duke Woodard of Bossier City, LA; son, Bruce (Teena) Duke of Stonewall, LA; four grandsons, Jody (Carrie) Woodard of Heflin, LA, Clint (Cole) Duke of Benton, LA, T.J. (Aimee) Woodard of Baton Rouge, LA, Jeffrey (Amy) Duke of Benton, LA; Seven great-grandchildren, Cade (Jaci) Woodard of Shreveport, LA, Cody Woodard of Baton Rouge, LA; Lilly, Lola, and Wesley Woodard, Ty and Ava Duke; one great-great grandson, Wesley Stone Woodard; and a host of nieces and nephews

Mrs. Duke was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Jasper Duke; her father, Judson Haynes, mother, Cary Haynes; three brothers, and three Sisters.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons and Great-grandsons.

The family would like to express special thanks to the staff and caregivers of Pilgrim Manor and Regional Hospice.
