Leona Gail Wilson, 76, of Granite Falls, passed away November 17, 2022 at Trinity Village in Hickory.

Born June 22, 1946 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Leroy and Ethel Mitchell Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marjorie Hoznar.

A member of First Baptist Church in Hildebran, Ms. Wilson had retired from teaching at Hildebran Elementary School.

She is survived by a sister, Joyce Ellen Winn of Hickory, NC; niece, Angela Margaret Winn and a number of great nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, November 21. 2022 at First Baptist Church in Hildebran with the Rev. Ron Arndt officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 – 3:00 PM at the church.
