Joyce Mae (Mullins) Straka, 81, of Stephenson, Mich. passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on November 16, 2022 due to a brief battle with cancer. Joyce was born March 4, 1941 in Crandon, Wis. the daughter of Earl and Grace (Statezny) Mullins. She married Martin Straka on May 14, 1960. They resided in Antigo, Wis. of 24 years before moving to Stephenson, Mich. in June of 1984. Joyce was very artistic and loved doing all sorts of crafts. She also loved watching and feeding the birds along with tending to her flowers. Mostly she lived for her family and loved family gatherings.

Joyce is survived by her husband Martin “Marty” of 62 years; son Wayne (Margie) Straka of Florida; daughter Michelle (Robert) Urbanc of Michigan; daughter-in-law Kim Straka of Alabama; 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, brother Kenneth (Joanne) and sister Sherry along with 6 nephews.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents and oldest son John.

Visitation for Joyce will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022 at Anderson Diehm Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 pm until time of the funeral service at 3:00 pm with Pastor Paul Hueter officiating.

Joyce's family would like to thank Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Also the neighbors for all their help.
