She was a Long Haul OTR (over the road) truck driver, and served in the United States Navy.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband George Marshall Dillon. They were married on February 27th, 1989 and were just shy of their 33rd wedding anniversary at his passing on February 11th, 2022. They were both originally from Mingo County, West Virginia. They spent the past 25 years proudly living on their beloved property on Booger Ridge, in Gainesboro, Tennessee. Also preceding her in death, her mother Lois Jean Adkins-Canterbury (Russell) of Lenore, West Virginia. Father, Donald Floyd Russell of Delaware, Ohio and sister Edith Ann Styer (Russell) of Delaware, Ohio. Father and mother in law James Claude and Nora Dillon of Marrowbone Creek at Kermit, West Virginia. Survivors include her daughters; Emily Adenna Cordeiro (and granddaughter Kayley Cordeiro and grandson Kayden Berard) of Rhode Island & Rebecca Elizabeth Dillon (and granddaughter Rayleigh Brooke Eury) of Sparta, TN. Stepdaughter Angela Moses (Dillon) (and step-grandchildren Christopher and Amanda Christine) of Vevay, Indiana. Her brothers; Michael Claude Revis of Willoughby, OH (and niece Michelle Revis of San Antonio, Texas & nephew Michael Revis Jr. of Dallas, Texas). Denny White (Russell) (and niece Amanda) of Delaware, OH. Nephew Shane Racer (sister Edith Ann's son) and niece, his wife Janet, of Plain City, Ohio. Also needing to mention another possible brother named Robin (Russell), who was supposedly adopted at around 1 yr old in the mid-1950's in Delaware, OH. Sadly, attempts had not been successful in finding him at the time of Betty Jo's death by her one surviving sister Kathy Jean Canterbury-Hatfield (and nieces Amanda Hicks (Canterbury) & Bethany Conley (Canterbury) of Lenore, WV. Betty Jo leaves behind a host of cousins and also extended family members which include brothers and sisters in-law and nieces and nephews of the Dillon family in West Virginia.

As per Betty Jo's wishes, the family has chosen cremation, with no services at this time. The family asks for your prayers.
