Obituary
Neil Anthony Sherron of Monroe Township, formerly Princeton Junction, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, November 13, 2022, at the age of 75.
Neil was born in Brooklyn, NY, on September 25, 1947, to the late Anthony and Marie (neé Capko) Sherron.
He is survived by his beloved wife Marion (née Hurst) Sherron, with whom he was blessed to share 37 years of marriage with, and their loving sons, Derek and Scott. He will be deeply missed by his sister, Nancy Rogal, and her husband, Richard. He enjoyed the company of his late in-laws, Marion and Thomas Hurst; sister and brother in-laws, Laura and Kevin Carrick, and Tami and Thomas Larsen; nieces and nephews Stephen Rogal, Mark Rogal, Amie Dickson and her husband Sean, Thomas Larsen and his wife, Katrina, Melissa DelaTorre and husband, Michael, Ian Carrick, Tabitha Ghahari and her husband, Aria, and Jordan Carrick; along with many great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
Neil served honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. A 30-year member of the Cranbury Golf Club, he was a lifelong golfer who could play like he was in the pros. Neil enjoyed golfing often in his later years after retiring from a fruitful and highly decorated 30-plus year career in investment banking in mergers and acquisitions. He worked as a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley for 25 years, along with successful stints at Goldman Sachs and Caxton Associates. A major fixture of the financial industry, Neil rose to President of the Reorganization Division of Wall Street.
He was an avid lifelong New York Jets fan, and loved taking trips to Florida, as well as vacationing with his family on cruises around the Caribbean.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022, from 4 PM until 8 PM at the A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ. A funeral mass will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at St. David the King Roman Catholic Church in Princeton Junction, NJ.
