<p>John F. Cronk, age 69, of Woonsocket, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at the V.A. Medical Center in Providence.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in Frankfurt, Germany, the son of the late Oliver F. Cronk, Sr. and Ethel M. (Keefe) Taylor, he lived in Woonsocket for the last five years.<br></p><p><br></p><p>John was employed by Verizon Communications from the age of 16 until retiring in 2011. He also served with the Rhode Island Army National Guard for 21 years, retiring as a sergeant.<br></p><p><br></p><p>John was a loyal fan of the New England Patriots and the Boston Red Sox. He enjoyed bowling and social networking. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him.<br></p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by a daughter, Nicole A Whitman of Providence; a son, Sean F. Cronk of Franklin, NH; four grandchildren, Devin Nix, Diego Nix, Dayvonni Nix, and Ciahna Nix; three sisters, Miriam A. Comeau of Cranston, Florence M. King of Woonsocket, and Dorothy Castillona of Warwick; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.<br></p><p><br></p><p>He was the brother of the late Helen Hassell and Oliver F. Cronk, Jr.<br></p><p><br></p><p>His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18, at 12 noon in the Barrett &amp; Cotter Funeral Home, 1328 Warwick Avenue, Spring Green, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited, and may visit at the funeral home on Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Burial with military honors will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Kindly omit flowers.
