Pearl L. (Hoover) Paugh, age 76, of Spring Grove, passed away on November 12, 2022 at WellSpan York Hospital. She was the loving wife of Lewis W. “Wayne” Paugh; together they shared 16 years of marriage.

Pearl was born in Chambersburg on September 12, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Earl and Annabelle (Sterner) Hoover. She was a homemaker and worked as a librarian at Glatfelter Memorial Library in Spring Grove for many years prior to retiring. Pearl sang in a southern gospel family singing group known as “The Choraliers & Pearl” for over 57 years. She also enjoyed crocheting and cherished the time she spent with her loving family.

In addition to her loving husband Wayne, Pearl is survived by her children Carol Geiselman and husband Timothy, Dorothy Smeltzer, Dean Martin and wife Victoria, and Mark Martin and wife Jamie; her stepchildren April Leary and companion Joe Lancaster, Tawney Ray and husband Jonathan, and Travis Paugh and wife Julia; her 4 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; and 1 step-great-grandchild. She is also survived by 2 nieces; and 1 nephew. Pearl was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Hoover.

A Funeral Service in celebration of Pearl’s life will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at 11:00AM at Victory Baptist Church, 25 Breezewood Dr., Hanover, PA 17331 with Pastor Jason M. Myers officiating. She will be laid to rest following the service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Spring Grove. Viewings will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 6:00PM – 8:00PM at Beck Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Inc., of Spring Grove, 175 N. Main St., Spring Grove and on Thursday from 10:00AM – 11:00AM at Victory Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Pearl’s memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
