William Jenkins Obituary

William Jenkins Sr., 80 of Littleton, NC passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022. He was born August 17, 1942 in Luzerne County, PA to the late William Daniel Jenkins and Emma Louise Peters (Warren). 


William formerly of Hunlock Creek, PA lead a life of passions, first serving his country in the United States Navy, and seeing the world. Not one to slow down, he helped build and drove his own stock car. In his down time, he enjoyed country and bluegrass music, playing his guitar and was a skilled banjo player. After retiring from the AFL-CIO as a Chief engineer, he and Judy owned and operated Sherwood Forest Camp Grounds in Henrico, NC.


Left to cherish his memories is his wife of 56 years, Judith Jenkins of the home, a brother, Dan and one sister Donna; two sons, William David Jenkins (Kathleen) of Huntingtown, MD, Tracy Lee Jenkins of Cincinnati, OH. Four grandchildren William, Brian, David, and Dylan Jenkins, along with a special great granddaughter, Paisley Jenkins.


The family will be holding a private family service at a later date. In memorial donations may be made to Community Home Care & Hospice, 52 Anna Louise Ln, Roanoke Rapids, NC 27870
