Amelia Ann Farthing, age 75, of Princeton, KY passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Baptist Health Paducah. Mrs. Farthing was born July 12, 1947 to the late Elliott Earl Jackson, Sr. and Nancy Martha Cook Jackson Nichols. She was the facility manager at both the Kelley Brook Apartment Complex and the Union Villa Apartment Complex in Union County. Additionally, she was a newspaper carrier in Union County for many years. Mrs. Farthing was of the Baptist Faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Lynn Harper (Jeff) of Princeton, KY; three sons, Troy Black (Robin), Lee Black (Theresa) of Sturgis, KY, Dean Black (Latoya) of Hopkinsville, KY; and one brother, Elliott Earl Jackson of Owensboro, KY. Nine grandchildren, Matthew Clinton Harper, Erin Rose Knight, Jerry Ray Gibson, Haley Thomas, Kellie Stricker, Necole Pugh, Joshlyn Nichole Black, Isaiah Burkins, and Alaina Burkins; many great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Farthing was preceded in death by her parents.  Her beloved husband, Joseph Boyd Farthing, passed away just hours after her.

Visitation for Amelia Ann Farthing and Joseph Boyd Farthing will be Wednesday, November 16, 2022 from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at 2:00 PM at Beshear Funeral Home, 201 N. Main St., Dawson Springs, KY. Brother Troy Black will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Rosedale Cemetery.
