Buford "Mule" Knight

<p>Buford&nbsp;“Mule” Knight, 84, of Bulls Gap, went to his heavenly home Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at his home surrounded by his children.&nbsp;&nbsp;Buford professed that he was saved at Carpenter’s Chapel Church.&nbsp;&nbsp;He was a loving dad to his children and grandchildren.&nbsp;&nbsp;Buford and Anna Bell enjoyed and loved to help raise money for people in need, and for many different organizations. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>He was preceded in death by his late devoted wife of 58 years, Anna Bell “Tootsie” Knight; parents William Joy and Ruth Knight; brothers Ralph, Homer, and Ed Knight; sisters Missy Banks, Dorothy Holder, and Joyce Mills. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>Buford is survived by daughter Teresa “Susie” Keedwell, and son and daughter-in-law William “Punkin” and Vada Knight, all who took care of and did their very best for him; grandchildren Nikki McIntosh, Jennifer Crisp, and Heiskell “Peanut” (April) Gladson; great-grandchildren Taylor Setsor, Tabby McIntosh, Mitchell and Shayla Crisp, Dustin, Joshua, and Jesse Gladson, Jacob Reed, and Skylar Lawson; great-great grandchildren Trevor Fleming, Westlynn Lawson, Zoe Anna, Zonryc, and Zefira Gladson; and several nieces and nephews, and many friends. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>The family would like to thank U.T. Home Health and Hospice, and Libby Lowe, who was his special nurse, for their time and care. </p><p>&nbsp; </p><p>The family will receive friends 5-7 Tuesday, November 15, in the east chapel of Allen Funeral Home.&nbsp;&nbsp;The funeral service will follow at 7 pm&nbsp;&nbsp;with Rev. Dale Holt and Rev. Buck Marshall officiating.&nbsp;&nbsp;Interment will be 1 pm Wednesday in Cedar Grove Church Cemetery.&nbsp;&nbsp;Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Crisp, Heiskell “Peanut”, Dustin, and Jesse Gladson, Jerimar Carmony, Norman Lawson, Jacob Reed, and David Bullington. </p>
