<p>Troy Wayne Brown, Jr. was born to the late Troy Brown Sr. and Ernestine Louse Powell (Ferguson) on July 11, 1955, in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1982, Troy was united in Holy Matrimony with Alzire Brown. To their union was two children, Troy Wayne Brown III and Angela Marie Brown. At this time, Troy accepted responsibility of raising Cedra P. Brown Sims.</p><p><br></p><p>Troy accepted Christ at an early age at Harris Spring A.M.E. Church. Troy remained an active member serving at St. Paul A.M.E. in Dallas, Joshua Chapel in Waxahachie, Grant Worship Center in Austin and Wayman Chapel in Temple. Troy served on the Trustee Board, the Sons of Allen, and was an active member of the Sunday School. He is fondly remembered for his beautiful tenor/baritone voice that he shared with the Male Chorus as well as the David Harris Inspirational Choir (DFHIS) at St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Dallas.</p><p><br></p><p>Troy graduated high school in Brenham, Texas. He graduated from Prairie View A&amp;M with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering. Troy performed in several positions of Engineering and Information Technology, retiring from Austin Energy. Troy also enjoyed preparing custom home and renovation plans, forming the small business, Brown’s Custom Designs.</p><p><br></p><p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Troy Wayne Brown Sr., and Ernestine L. Ferguson Powell.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors are one son, Troy Brown III of Houston; daughters, Angela M. Brown of Austin; and Cedra P. Brown Sims (Trumone) of Spring; sisters, Deborah M. Brown and Sharon Finley both of Temple; aunts, Erma L. Grimes and Walterine B. Minifee (Bill) both of Temple; nephew, Terrell Finley of Temple; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
