It is with great love and wonderful memories that the family of Irma announce she passed away peacefully on Monday November 7, 2022 at the age of 89 years.

Beloved wife of the late Elroy Tennisco for 62 fabulous years.

Devoted and loving mother of David (Dawn), Daniel (Sonya), Vicki (Kevin), Tom and Bradley.

Dear granny/grandma of Tammy (Paul), Angie, Jennifer, Jason, the late Matthew, Rachel (Marc), Erica (Luke), Tyler (Emily), Alycia (Evan), Dallas, Abigail, Ethan and Christian. Great grandmother of Josh, Austin, Charlotte, Boden, Eleanor, Hazel James, Finley, Hazel Victoria, Josephine and Izzy.

Fondly missed by her extended family of girlfriends especially Norah, Ann and Joan.

Beautiful, sweet and always stylish, Irma will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and care. She loved baking sweets and treats, making birthdays and holidays so special, playing cards with her girlfriends and making her home blossom through her passion for gardening.

We wish to thank the PSWs from St. Elizabeth’s Home Care along with the doctors, nurses and staff at Lakeridge Health Oshawa on 6G and 4F for the wonderful care Irma received.

Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 15th from 3 pm to 6 pm at Armstrong Funeral Home, 124 King Street East, Oshawa with Memorial Mass at St. Gertrude’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, November 16th at 11am. Interment of Ashes to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.

Donations in Irma’s name may be made to the Oshawa and District Ostomy Association.
