<p>James ”Jim” Francis Everett, born October 19, 1935 passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 in Groveland, Florida.</p><p><br></p><p>He was born in Elkton, Maryland; lived in Baltimore, Cincinnati and many other cities before making Florida his permanent residence.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a mechanical engineer. The past 30 years he worked in the commercial laundry business doing rigging and installation until he retired in 2020 at the age of 85. Jim had such a zest for life, people, his German Shepherds, and parrots. He raced for Triumph Motorcycles; enjoyed riding all of his Harley’s and his passion evolved into exotic cars. He loved to ride and drive anything FAST. He loved all aspects of history, planes, motorcycles and was an avid reader. His intelligence and ability to problem solve made no challenge too great to master. In return his master mind was reflected in all aspects of his life and those around him.</p><p><br></p><p>Jim was preceded in death by his father, George Edward and Mother, Ida Mae Everett, his brothers George (Nunie) and John (Jack) Everett.&nbsp;</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 36 years, Jackie Hall of Groveland, with whom he cherished very dearly, Brothers Kenny and Perry Everett of Maryland; sister, Peggy and her husband, Randy Wood of Ohio; children, James R Everett and his wife, Dawn of Lady Lake; Ginger McDougal and her husband, Artie of Clermont; Bruce LaGory and his wife, Shelley; Brian LaGory and his wife, Kim and Jennifer Kirby and her husband, Matt all of Kentucky. Surviving grandchildren include James B; Taylor and Nathan; Blake and Justin; Ashley, Jake, and Austin; Alek and Kourtlan. Great grandsons are Nathan and Wyatt. Additionally, his bonus Meyer family, Tania, Dawn and Teddy of Jacksonville along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>His love was unconditional for his family and friends. He never knew a stranger and was beloved by everyone he met. He touched so many lives in his 87 years. Jim will live in our hearts forever.<br></p><p><br></p><p>Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Brewer &amp; Sons Funeral home and Cremation Services in Clermont. Condolences can be expressed and shared on his memory page.</p><p><br></p><p>At Jim's request a memorial service will not take place. James ”Jim” Francis Everett, born October 19, 1935 passed away peacefully on November 9, 2022 in Groveland, Florida.


He was born in Elkton, Maryland; lived in Baltimore, Cincinnati and many other cities before making Florida his permanent residence.


He was a mechanical engineer. The past 30 years he worked in the commercial laundry business doing rigging and installation until he retired in 2020 at the age of 85. Jim had such a zest for life, people, his German Shepherds, and parrots. He raced for Triumph Motorcycles; enjoyed riding all of his Harley’s and his passion evolved into exotic cars. He loved to ride and drive anything FAST. He loved all aspects of history, planes, motorcycles and was an avid reader.
