Evelyn Deloris Bryant

Evelyn D. Tillman Bryant, 69, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on Tuesday, November 08, 2022 following a lengthy illness. She was born on April 11, 1953 to the late, Buster Tillman and Willie Mae Johnson-Tillman in Odum, Ga. Evelyn was educated in the public school system of Wayne County and was a member of Eternal Harvest Holiness Church under the leadership of Apostle Earl Thomas. She thoroughly enjoyed serving the Lord and singing praises unto him, as well as being on the usher board until her health began to fail.

Evelyn was preceded in death by both parents, Buster and Willie Mae Tillman; her husband, Gene Robert Bryant; her children, Ladell Jones and LeKeisha Bryant, and brothers, Marvin Jones, Joe Alex Jones and David Russell.

Those left to cherish her memory: her sisters, Glenda Bryant, Folkston, Ga., Elizabeth (Larry) Fuller, Pauline Russell, Christine Matthews and Dorothy Smith, all of Jesup, Ga. and Rhonda (Hosea) Williams, Tifton, Ga.; her brothers, Charles Jones, Bradenton, Fl., James Frank Bonham, Oveta, Fl., Chester Jones, LeVeren (Deborah) Tillman and Wallace (Cynthia) Tillman, all of Jesup, Ga., Carlton (Keisha) Jones, Brunswick, Ga. and Clarence (Delphine) Tillman, Sr., and Jerry (Gloria) Tillman, both of Bunnlevel, NC; sister in-law, Deloris Russell, Baxley, Ga.; an aunt, Shirley Lanier, Jesup, Ga.; and a dear friend and caretaker, Roberta McRae of Jesup, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 12 Noon until 3:00 p.m. at Royal Funeral Home Chapel, 247 W. Pine Street, Jesup, Ga.

A graveside will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022 @ 11:00 a.m. at Odum City Cemetery, 735 Tillman Street, Odum, Ga. 31555. The family will gather at Royal Funeral Home at 10:15 for the procession to the cemetery, departing from the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. There will not be a repast following services.
