<p>Earnest Earl “ Hoop” Brown</p><p>Sunrise: October 8, 1948 - Sunset: November 3, 2022</p><p><br></p><p>Earnest Brown, 74, affectionately known as “Hoop”, was born on October 8, 1948 in Lamesa, Tx, to the late Allen and Amanda Brown. </p><p><br></p><p>Earnest attended Blackshear High School in Lamesa, Tx and went on to Saint Marcus to receive his GED and certification for Appliance Repair. </p><p><br></p><p>Earnest worked as a Chef for Ranchland Hills Country Club for 30 years. He was never one to procrastinate when it came down to providing for his family. Earnest was a family oriented man and loved his friends and family with all his heart . He was a very forgiving and spiritual man. He was known for his main saying “Imma get ya goat!!”. He not only raised his children but also many that were not his biological kids. Earnest was a loving husband , dedicated father, and the best PawPaw to ALL his grand and great grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>His memory will forever be cherished and his legacy will always be honored by his devoted wife of 54 years: Francine Brown, two sons: Marcus Miller of Arlington, Texas; Derek Brown (Tiffany) of Fort Worth, two daughters: Royal Sanders (Michael) of Coppell, Texas; Angelia Gavin (Brandon) of Midland, one sister: Anna Ruth Brown of Temple; twenty one grandchildren with a bonus grandchild and twenty three great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Those that preceded him in death were his father Allen Brown, mother Amanda Brown, siblings: Mary Helen Brown, Rosie Lee Brown, Louise Bell, Virginia Brown, Rebecca Mason, Charlie Brown, Melvin Brown, Horace Brown, and James Shaw.</p><p><br></p><p>Receiving of family and friends will be held on Friday, November 11, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Avalos-Sanchez &amp; Thomas Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwill Baptist Church with Pastor Kenneth Johnson officiating. </p><p><br></p><p>Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Avalos-Sanchez &amp; Thomas Funeral Home.
