Herman Edward Ohmann Jr.

<p>Herman E. Ohmann, Jr, age 58, of Northfield, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, November 7, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>Herman was born to Herman Sr and Barbara (Knutson) Ohmann on March 25, 1964, in Northfield. He attended school in Northfield. Herman began working for National Polymer in Lakeville and there met his future wife, Karen Pagel. The couple married in 1985 at Highview Christiana Lutheran Church near Farmington. The couple had two daughters, Amber and Nichole. Herman went to work for Simon Brothers Cement and was currently employed at Simon Brothers at the time of his passing. Karen and Herman divorced in 2010.</p><p><br></p><p>From a young age Herman tinkered with small engines and was known to be a backyard mechanic where he spent many hours in his shop. He never hesitated to help anyone even going so far as to help a lady whose car broke down by his house. She was going to a job interview at the hospital and was going to be late so Herman gave her a ride and would repair her car later. Having family living on the same road, Herman enjoyed riding his Gator or four-wheeler back and forth and the grandchildren especially loved sharing rides with him.</p><p><br></p><p>He is survived by his daughters Amber (Eddie) Hayford, Nikki (Greg) Mifek both of Northfield; four grandchildren Makenna, Hunter, Beau, Chase; his parents Herman Sr. and Barb of Northfield; and his siblings Charles (Debbie), Robert (Betty), Joanne (Jim) Elleson all of Northfield, and Debbie (Steve) Job of St. Cloud.</p><p><br></p><p>Services will be held at Highview Christiania Lutheran Church, Farmington on Saturday, November 12, 2022, beginning at 11:00 AM.
