Marjorie May Farrer Obituary

Marjorie M. Farrer, 93, of Rockport, Texas, died peacefully in her sleep on October 31, 2022. She was born on November 18, 1928, to Seamon and Eula Holzheuser of Victoria, Texas.


Marjorie graduated in 1946 from Patty Welder High School in Victoria, Texas.


On February 18, 1950, she married the love of her life, A. Weems Farrer, also from Victoria, Texas. They moved to Houston, Texas where she was an Office Manager for a large advertising agency. After raising their family and retirement, they moved to Rockport, Texas. Marjorie enjoyed her fur babies, social events, going out to dinner, playing Mahjong with her friends, and solitaire on the computer.


Marjorie is preceded in death by her parents, Seamon and Eula Holzheuser, her sister Dorothy Griffin, her husband of 65 years A. Weems Farrer and their first-born daughter, Randye Leigh Farrer.


She is survived by her children Gwenith Jean Watson and husband Steve Watson of Austin, Texas and A. Weems Farrer, Jr. and wife Vicki Farrer of Houston, Texas; grandchildren Russell Dillon, Shauna Dillon Epps and husband Michael Epps, Stephanie Farrer Meadows and husband Chance Meadows; great-grandchildren Chandler J. Meadows, Kennedy L. Meadows, Corey J. Nutt, Theodore R. Epps, Nolan B. Epps and nieces, nephews, and friends.


A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 12, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. at Rosewood Funeral Home in Atascocita and the burial will be held at the Farrer Cemetery in Inez, Texas.
