William Bacci, 87, of Port St. Lucie, Florida (formerly of Manchester, NJ and Staten Island, NY) passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, October 27, 2022. 

 Billy was the beloved husband of Patricia Bacci, and the loving father of Diane, Bill and daughter-in-law, Jean, Doug and daughter-in-law, Gisselle, and Steven and daughter-in-law, Irene Bacci. Billy was also a devoted step father of Tracey (Braman) and husband C.B. O’Keefe, Pamela (Braman) and husband Bobby DelGrande, and Kerri Walsh (Braman). Also a Cherished grandfather of 17 adoring grandchildren, he will be missed by many.

Bill grew up and attended H.S. in Brooklyn NY. At age 18, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for two years, 1954 and 1955. After serving his country as a young man, Bill returned to Brooklyn, started a family, and became a member of the NYC police department. He served the city until he retired as a sergeant in 1981. 

Afterward, together with his wife, Bill owned a bar in Eltingville, Staten Island. Bill and Pat enjoyed a happy marriage for 37 years and a long retirement in NJ then Florida.  Bill had an easy way about him, always had a smile, and had a special way of making his children and grandchildren feel truly loved. He had the gift of fully enjoying the simple things in life. He enjoyed working on DIY home improvements, reading the newspaper and sports. He could usually be found in his garage or watching one of his favorite television shows in his recliner. Throughout his retirement, Billy was happiest when he was spending time with his wife or when he was celebrating special occasions or holidays with his family.
