Linda T. Heuser Obituary

Linda T. (Terry) Heuser passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her home in Normandy Farm Estates in Blue Bell, PA. She was 82. Born in Easton, PA on August 4, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Robert E. and Catherine (Serfas) Terry.

She attended Gettysburg College where she met the love of her life, the late E. William Heuser. Bill and Linda married in 1959 and welcomed three beautiful children, Karl W. (Joanne) Heuser, Eric A. (Linda J.) Heuser and Karen H. (Todd) Bieber.

They raised their family in King of Prussia, PA, in a loving home filled with game playing, summer camp and church outings. Bill passed suddenly in 1979, leaving Linda a young widow with three teenagers. She persevered and raised her family with love and the help of a community of friends and neighbors. Linda had a heart for other young widows and widowers and would reach out through cards and attending services so “they would know they could find life after loss.”

Linda loved with grace and acceptance for all, encouraging many along the way. She was a care giver, volunteering to support the compassionate missions of Meals on Wheels, the Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity, and Laurel House (Rediscovery Shop). She was active in her church, Valley Forge Presbyterian for many years, including her role as a deacon. Linda was curious and well read. She encouraged a love of reading and learning in many through her work in the Children’s Department of Upper Merion Township Library.

Linda’s favorite role may have been nana to her 6 grandchildren: Amanda Grace (Michael) Higgins, Kelly (Gilbert) Bonafe’, Daniel (Vicki) Heuser, Andrew Heuser, Wade (Victoria) Bieber and Dean Bieber soon to be married to Autumn Austin; 7 great-grandchildren (including one on the way). Nana’s house was a haven of fun, games, tradition, creativity, sleepovers and things. So many interesting, meaningful things, each with a story. In addition to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Linda is survived by a brother, Creed R. (Michele) Terry; a nephew, Ryon C. Terry; and a niece, Simmin (Eric) Holland and daughter, Ruby.

The family plans a Celebration of Life in 2023. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Linda’s memory to a charity of your choice.
