John L. Miller
<p>John Lewis Miller, 88, of Marion, Indiana, died at 9:45 a.m., on Tuesday, November 1, 2022. He entered this world on August 29, 1934, in Greentown, Indiana, born to Bryce and Lucille (Miller) Miller. John married the love of his life Lucille "Lucy" Dillon on December 15, 1956, she survives.</p><p><br></p><p>He was a graduate of Swayzee High School. Following high school, John proudly served his country and became a veteran of the United States Army. After his services he was in the Reserves for several years. He worked as an electrician at RCA for 40 years and was a member of the Swayzee Christian Church.</p><p><br></p><p>John enjoyed crossword puzzles, fishing, playing guitar, leather work, reading mysteries, and square dancing. He also enjoyed spending winters in Arizona with his wife, Lucy. John was also a very good handyman, and could fix just about anything.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his loving wife of 65 years, Lucy, he is survived by his two children, Karen (Brian) Burgan, of North Manchester, Indiana, Kelly (Paul) Wood, of Brownsburg, Indiana; four grandchildren, Kasondra (Dustin) Shaw, Dustin (Katy) Burgan, Brianne (Jon) Birk, and Alexis (Jake) Stout; and seven great-grandchildren, Ella, Vera, and Jaxon Shaw, Field, Vaughn and Parks Burgan, and Rylee Stout. In addition to his parents, John was also preceded in death by his son, Gary Miller.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements have been entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 South Western Avenue, Marion, where a funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Friday, November 4, 2022, with Rev. Mark Hummel officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M-1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Greentown, Indiana.</p><p><br></p><p>Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Rescue Mission, 423 S.
