MARTIN, Opal. – of Millington, age 74, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. Pastor Jim Wertz officiating. Burial at Pine Grove Cemetery in Arbela Twp. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday from 12:30PM until 8PM and Wednesday from 12PM until the time of service at 1PM. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Opal was born February 8, 1942 in Leslie County, Kentucky to the late Leo and Jennie (Hendrix) Madden. She married Gary Martin on her birthday, February 8, 1964. Opal was employed with Bronner's in Frankenmuth for many years. She was a member of Community Baptist Church in Millington. Opal had a strong faith and knew the love for her Lord. She enjoyed playing scrabble and watching game shows. Opal loved spending time with her family and had an incredibly special bond with her sister, Evelyn. Surviving are: Husband, Gary Martin; Daughter, Karyn Killian; Sons: Darrin (Michele) Martin, and Darrald (Lisa) Martin; Grandchildren: Joshua, Jordan, Ciara, Katie, Jonathon, Brandon, Nathan, Darrald Jr., Nick, Dylan, and Joey; Several great grandchildren; Brother, Elmer (Helen) Madden; Sisters: Lorraine (Asbel) Browning and Evelyn (Bill) York; Several nieces and nephews; Former daughters in law that still held a special place in her heart: Kim Suntken, Linda Martin, and Brenda Simons.
