Mary Frances Thomas
<p>Mary Frances Jones Thomas was born on September 05, 1936, to the late, Willie Jones, Sr. and Eddie Mae Dixon Jones in Screven, Ga. Mary Frances was educated in the Wayne County School System. On December 19, 1954, she was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, Baby Ruth Thomas, and to this union of 66 years four children were born, Raymond, Mary Anna, Rufus and Francine. Sadly, Mary’s beloved Babe departed this life on September 03, 2018. Mary Frances gave her life to Christ at an early age. She first became a member of First African Baptist Church in Screven, Ga. and later, a member of St. James Holiness Church under the leadership and Pastorship of Mother Jonathan Green in Screven, Ga. where she served faithfully as the youth secretary, adult choir member and lastly, as a faithful Church Mother under the leadership of Bishop Arthur and Pastor Havana Green, until her demise.</p><p><br></p><p>Mary Frances was employed as a nurse’s aide for 36 years before retiring. She found great joy in fishing, sewing and had a passion for cooking, especially for baking cakes. Above all, she had a definite love for Christ and her family.</p><p><br></p><p>On October 27, 2022, Mary Frances passed away surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by both parents, Willie Sr. and Eddie Mae Jones; her loving husband, Baby Ruth Thomas; her daughter, Mary Anna Wells (Albert); her beloved grandson, PFC Brian R. Thomas; her siblings, Willie Jones, Jr., Frankie Jones and Nina Hamm.</p><p><br></p><p>Those left to cherish her memory: her loving sons, Raymond (Phyllis) Thomas, Sr., Jesup, Ga., Rufus Thomas, Screven, Ga.; her loving and devoted daughter, Francine Thomas Cunningham, Screven, Ga.; her grandchildren, Derrick (Sophia) Jenkins, Somerset, NJ, Darryl Jones, Renata Thomas, Jesup, Ga., Brandilyn (Genorse) Gilbert III, Suffolk, VA, Tomeka Thomas, Jesup, Ga., Raymond Thomas , Jr., Brunswick, Ga., Zyun Wingard, Atlanta, GA; Great grandchildren, Jabril, Derrick, Jr., Destiny, Arianna, Sanai, Cameron, Paige, Jaliyah, Jacai, Armanni, Ricky, Bryan and Julianna; two uncles, Larry (Josephine) and Danny (Deletha) Fussell, Sr.; two sisters in-law, Viola Dixon, Trenton, NJ, Earnestine McCray, Screven, Ga.; a god sister/best friend, Aretha (Jesse) Miles, Jesup, Ga.; two god daughters, Lelanie (James) Cureton and Samantha (Gregory) Boyd; two special friends, Cora Ann Smith and Patsy Dixon; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 05, 2022, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 4 pm until 6 pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 06, 2022, @ 2:00 pm at Greater St. James Holiness Church, 635 White Star Road, Screven, Ga. 31560.</p><p><br></p><p>Everyone planning to attend services are kindly asked to wear your mask to help prevent the spread of Covid 19.</p><p><br></p><p>For those who are not able to attend services, it will be live streamed thru our website: royalfuneralhomeinc.com</p>October 27, 202210/27/2022
