She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Dot was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.</p><p><br></p><p>Dot was predeceased by her parents Frank and Owen Harris and eight of her siblings: Herbert Harris, Harvey Harris, Annie H. Barrigan, Maude H. Miner, Mamie H. Willoughby, Willie H. Stoudt, Margie H. Coulter, and Bertha H. Warstler.</p><p>She is survived by her three siblings: Virginia H. Mohorn of Greensboro, Erma H. Champion of Rolesville, and Robert T. Harris (Linda) of Littleton along with numerous nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>She attended Littleton High School and graduated in 1956. She was a graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh. After teaching high school in Manassas, Virginia, she worked as a Computer Analyst. She worked at the Pentagon with the Department of Army and at the United States Department of Labor. She later worked for the United States Army at Fort Lee. Continuing as a Computer Analyst, Dot worked for the North Carolina Department of Corrections in Raleigh. She received recognitions for her outstanding work throughout her career.</p><p><br></p><p>Dot loved spending time with her family and her friends. She cherished her time with her parents and eleven siblings. Dot especially treasured time with her thirty-three nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking and often showed her love for her family by sharing her meals and baked goods. Dot loved gardening as well. In her retirement, she could often be found cultivating her tomatoes or picking butter beans. Dot’s life demonstrated a strong work ethic and a love for family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Enterprise Baptist Church in Littleton, NC with Pastor Chris Snead officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:15-10:45 AM in the church sanctuary. Interment will follow the service at the Enterprise Baptist Church cemetery.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Enterprise Baptist Church, 404 Enterprise Road, Littleton, NC 27850.</p><p><br></p>

Dorothy Harris Ford, 85, of Littleton, North Carolina went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. Dot was a member of Enterprise Baptist Church.
