<p>VILLE PLATTE - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Janice Lemoine Soileau at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Our Lady Queen of All Saints Catholic Church in Ville Platte. Father Mitch Guidry will be the celebrant of the mass followed by Interment at Gates of Heaven Cemetery. </p><p>Janice Lemoine Soileau, 85, passed away in the presence of her loving family on Sunday, October 30, 2022, at Mercy Regional Medical Center of Ville Platte. Janice was born on May 18, 1937, in Ville Platte, LA to the late Allen Lemoine and Doris Gremillion Lemoine. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who was known as a talented cook, baker, musician and seamstress. Christmas was a special time and she enjoyed spending time with her loved ones at her home making memories. Janice was a devout Catholic with an unwavering faith. She began a correspondence relationship with Country Music Legend, Brenda Lee, which would further lead to a longtime friendship. </p><p>She is survived by her sons, Michael Soileau, Scott Soileau, and Charles “Chuck” Soileau; daughters, Katherine Vindeola and Tobi Brown; grandchildren, Robert “Buck” Johnson, Jr., Bo Johnson, Josie “Joey” Soileau, Megan Edgington, Aaron Soileau, Grace Soileau, Adelaide Soileau, Emma Brown, Andrew Brown; great grandchildren, Kaylee Johnson, Jack Johnson, Elouise Johnson, Stella Johnson, Abram Johnson, Jesse Johnson, Anna Johnson, Madison Edgington; great great-granddaughters, Nyla and Adleigh; and sister, Carol DeMoura. </p><p>She is preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Doris Gremillion Lemoine; husband, Audley Gaynor Soileau; grandson, Chris Soileau; and brother, Samuel Lemoine. </p><p>Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM at Ardoin’s Funeral Home of Ville Platte.
