Michael Garcia Muniz Sr. born October 26, 1969 in Alpine, Texas, was called home October 27, 2022, after an unexpected hospitalization.  He was preceded in death by his father, Cruz Huerta Muniz, Sr, Alpine, TX, and his brother, Cruz Garcia Muniz, Jr, Alpine, TX and his sister Martha Garcia Muniz, Alpine.  He is survived by his sister Annabel Muniz Wiesman and husband Darrel Wiesman, Midland, by his daughters Ashley Ann Mayo, Iraan, and Kimberly Amanda Muniz, Dallas, by his son Michael Muniz Jr., San Angelo, TX and by grandchildren Jobie Collings Mayo and Kamila Christina Mayo, Iraan, TX and many nieces and nephews that loved him dearly, and his ex-wife Christina Portillo, Iraan, TX.   Michael was a happy giving, hardworking person, he cherished his children and family. Michael was a strong and determined person and overcame his handicapped state and miraculously was able to walk again.  Nothing could ever stop Michael from accomplishing what he wanted to. He was a state champion golfer at Alpine High School. He graduated from Alpine High School and worked several years with Mountain Zone and Big Bend Telephone.  He moved to Midland, TX and worked in Safety and Training as well as working with Midland County Sheriff’s Office.   His passion in life was playing golf and riding his Harley motorcycle every chance he got.  Happy go lucky person, never knew when he was serious or not, always joking around.  Family has lifelong loving memories, as his friends do as well.  We will miss him and love him always.  He was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grand-father.  

Services have been entrusted to Alpine Memorial Funeral Home in Alpine, Texas.
