Kathleen M. Galetsis, nee Snow, beloved wife of Konstantinos S. Galetsis; loving mother of James Galetsis, Jennifer (Nikolaos) Poulikidis-Galetsis, Christina Galetsis, and Samantha (Frank)Galvan-Galetsis; dear grandmother of Ioannis and Konstantinos Poulikidis, and the late Austin McCormick; fond sister of Rose Lepisto, the late James Snow, Carol Pierrucci and Donna Hogan; loving aunt of Vince Lepisto, Tony Perucci, Sue Bruber, Dawn Rosenstiel and Gail Criss. Kathleen Galetsis was born and raised in Lise, Illinois and went to school at Saint Joan of Arc. Kathy married into a Greek Orthodox family and spent most of her summers in the Peloponnese of Greece swimming in the clearest waters, dining on the best Mediterranean dishes and drinking until sunrise with her husband family and kids. She was a very loving and adored grandmother to her grandkids. They were her world which was always a little brighter with them around. She was a proud mother, and her strength and wisdom were an inspiration to watch and be around. Her quirky witty humor was one of her most memorable traits. She and her husband met at a restaurant and went on to own their own where they spent every day of their lives together falling in love. They always made sure the community had good food and everyone was fed. You would never be able to leave Kathy’s house without a full belly and a tear in your eye from laughing too much. She will be dearly missed from all that knew and loved her, and we will continue to celebrate her for life. Visitation Wednesday, November 2nd, 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
