Grace Houston - June 21, 1934 to October 27, 2022

Grace Houston (nee Cree) died in hospice on October 27th, 2022 surrounded by her family. She was 88. Grace will be remembered by many as a generous, caring, and strong woman, a gracious host, and the life of the party. She loved her family, a good cup of tea, and to sing and play the spoons. Born in Belfast, Ireland, she and her husband moved to Canada in 1972. They settled in Brampton with their daughter, and later moved to Wasaga Beach, where they remained for the rest of their years. Grace leaves behind her daughter Mavis and son-in-law, Gary; Grandchildren: Jennifer (John), Robert (Kelsie), and Ashley (Scott); great grandchildren: Evaleigh and Ayla; her sister Florrie (Freddie); and many nieces and nephews, whom she loved like her own. She is predeceased by her loving husband Bobby of 60 years; two sons: Robert and Jim; and 6 siblings: Louie (Jimmy), Geordie (Rose), Sammy (Patsy), Molly (George), Margaret (Noel), and Andy (Mina). A celebration of life will be held at Sunnidale Corners Community Centre on November 27th from 1pm - 5pm. In lieu of flowers, family and friends are encouraged to make a donation to Hospice Georgian Triangle, who provided much comfort to Grace and her family in her final days.
