Thomas Benjamin Burrus

Augusta, GA –            Thomas Benjamin Burrus, 38, left this world on October 22, 2022.  A graveside service will take place at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Wrens Memorial Gardens in Wrens GA, officiated by Rev. Kent Farris.   

Thomas was born to Eugene and Audrey Burrus on February 11, 1984 in Fort Worth, TX.  He was a graduate of Aiken High School (2002); USC-Aiken (2006) and University of Houston (2009).  He served as Adjunct Instructor at USC-Aiken beginning in 2011 and was promoted to Instructor just this past August.  Thomas garnered considerable admiration and respect from his students and colleagues over the years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Soren and Atticus; their mother, Gillian Gurlen; brother, Stuart Burrus (Ashley); sister, Alicia Burrus; uncles, George Burrus and Kent Farris; aunt, Jane Burrus; special friend, Sydney Herrick; and numerous other relatives.
