Ann Elizabeth Belford Kingsley, 93, of Golconda, IL, passed away on October 27, 2022, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah, KY.

Ann was born on May 26, 1929, in Lyles, TN. Her family moved back to the Brownfield community in Pope County, IL.

Following her education, she married Allen E. Kingsley in 1950. Ann retired from the Illinois Department of Corrections.

Ann was a loving, gentle soul who was kind to everyone she met. She was devoted to her family and known around her community as Granny Annie, a name she was given by her first grandchild Megan.

She is survived by her daughters Sharon Kluge of Golconda, IL and Paula Weitlauf (Joe) of Paducah, KY. Survivors also include her very special grandchildren Travis Kluge (Lesli) of Golconda, IL, Taylor Weitlauf of Chicago, IL, great-grandson Hayden Kluge of Golconda as well as a bonus toddler, Isaiah Hancock. Ann is also survived by her sister Frances Wedgewood of TN and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucian and Lillian Belford, husband Allen E. Kingsley and granddaughter Megan Kluge, her brothers William Belford, Loyd Belford and James Belford.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 3:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Golconda, IL. Visitation will begin at 1:00PM until the time of the service. There will be a private family burial later that day.
