<p>Denise Fuzzell, age 69, of Millersburg, passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at her home, following a courageous battle with cancer. She passed peacefully in the loving presence of her family and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>She was born on December 2, 1952, in Geneva, NY, the oldest of five siblings of Dwight and the late Charlene (Williams) Dunn. She worked as a midwife and then as a Genetic Researcher, focusing on Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and Macular Degeneration research for over 20 years. She worked for Vanderbilt University and Case Western Reserve University. She was a Holmes County resident for most of her life. </p><p><br></p><p>Denise married her soulmate and loving husband Joe Fuzzell in 1978 in Holden, MA. He survives.</p><p>Denise was a devoted wife, mother, and friend who created a warm and loving home. She was an avid reader and storyteller with an infectious laugh who enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, and gardening. Above all, she loved spending time with her family and friends which made Thanksgiving one of her favorite holidays.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her father of Warren, MA and beloved husband Joe, Denise is survived by her children, Lea Incandela of Boulder, CO, Nissa Estrella of Asheville, NC, Sarada (Pasha) Fuzzell-Tope of Wooster, OH, Deardra (Michael Angeletti) Fuzzell of Palo Alto, CA, Isadora (Kris) Gingerich of Medina, OH, Ione (Jeremy Brading) Fuzzell of Columbus, OH, Chloe( PaulMcKinney) Fuzzell of Cleveland Heights, OH; grandchildren, Kyah and Leo Vrooman of Asheville, NC, Oliver Incandela of Boulder, CO, Willa and Bennett Gingerich of Medina, OH; her siblings, Darrell (Anita Mann) Dunn of Northfield, NH, Neil Dunn of Londonderry, NH, Lisa</p><p>(David) O'Neill of Warren, MA; sister-in-law Renee Dunn of Columbus, OH; nieces and nephews, Colin Dunn of Northfield, NH, Nathan Yoder of Holmes County, OH, Alina Dunn of Columbus, OH, Shannon O’Neill of Boston, MA, John O’Neill of Warren, MA, Emily Dunn of Beverly, MA; devoted family friends Gayle &amp; David Noble of Wooster, OH, Meghan Orbeck of Albany, NY; as well as many other friends and relatives.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by her brother, Keith Dunn, sister-in-law, Debra Dunn and nephew, Walker Angle.</p><p><br></p><p>A private interment will take place at the convenience of the family.
