David Christian Ladd, 38, of Bend, Oregon, passed away on October 24, 2022.

David was born in Santa Ana, California to Rhonda Surgeon and Stephen Ladd. He lived in Southern California until he moved with his mother to Bend in 1994.

David loved skateboarding, Raiders football, Angels baseball, rap music (especially Eminem), and sneakers. He was a skilled chef who worked at various restaurants in Bend. Growing up, he was a talented baseball player.

David’s daughter, Delilah, was born in 2010 and was his most significant source of joy. He had a fun-loving, vibrant personality, and was able to talk to and befriend anyone. He was adventurous, artistic, humorous, and passionate.

David was loved by his family and friends. He is survived by his daughter (Delilah Ladd), mother (Rhonda Surgeon), father (Stephen Ladd), stepfather (Paul Surgeon), stepmother (Trisha Ladd), siblings (Daniel Ladd, Kylie Ladd, and Connor Ladd), grandmother (Pola Ladd), and step-grandparents (Mary Kay Surgeon, Linda Scott, Daniel Scott, and Judy Swingle). He is predeceased by his grandfathers (Walter Ladd and Ronald Swingle), grandmother (Joyce Meersman), and step-grandfather (Bob Meersman).

We will hold a casual memorial at Timbers East, 2570 NE Twin Knolls Drive #170 in Bend, Oregon, on Saturday, October 29, 2022, between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to come by whenever, and to stay for however long they wish. We would love to see you.
