Tyler Xavier Lewis Obituary

Tyler was a an extremely considerate young man who did what he could to make not only his family but everyone around him happy. Tyler was distinguished and well-regarded by many. Tyler had a maturity that allowed him to self-advocate for himself which his peer group found to be inspiring. During his younger years, he was quite fond of animals and had many pets that he cared for. That speaks to his level of compassion for all of mankind. Tyler revered everyone, he was welcoming nor did he tolerate the notion of excluding anyone, particularly kids. He had friends from all walks of life. Tyler was a leader; he was wise enough to make sound decisions based on kindness.

He frequently attended church with his Nana at Hollywood Baptist Church. Tyler enjoyed his spending time with his grandparents, aunts, uncles and a host of cousins. Tyler was always there to brighten the lives of others. He had such a pleasantness about him, quick-witted, a touch of healthy sarcasm or silent with an expression that said it all. He was great company and had an appreciable sense of humor. Tyler lived his life; he had the perseverance to rise to his potential as an academic and plan for a weekend of fun times. He had an intrinsic motivation to do well and be his best self.

Tyler loved to travel with his family, especially vacationing to the Caribbean. His birthdays were always a celebration, he looked forward to everyone coming to show their love. He cherished those memories. Tyler was fortunate to find his college sweetheart Karla. They had fun-times making Vlogs, experiencing fine-dining, going into the city and planning their futures.

Tyler attended Valley Stream Christian Academy for middle school and Baldwin High School. On weekends Tyler attended Hofstra University an extra-curricular academic program for young people. Also, played for the Valley Stream Baseball League. Upon graduating high school, he was awarded an academic scholarship.

Tyler was creative, he had a keen eye for fashion, he was a visual artist and for sure was great at finances. He knew how to save more than he spent. These are some of the characteristics that led him to the Pre-Business Administration major.

Tyler had a very close communicative relationship with his parents. He adored his grandparents, his grandad and his uncle Ryan, big brother Anthony. As they poured all they had into Tyler. He couldn't wait to meet-up with his cousins at family gatherings to share in the love they had for one another.

Tyler's time here was revered and well spent. He made his mark and made it very clear that he had developed into a young man. We are grateful for the time we had with him.

As he left this world Tyler was surrounded by his
