Frances Neal May, 81, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 27, 2022. She was born in Warren County to the late John Daniel and Ila Angilina Reece Neal. Frances was also preceded in death by her husband Alvin Eugene May; her brother John Wayne Neal; and her sister Bettie Mae Paquin.

Mrs. May was a loving Christian woman that loved her family very much. She was a member of the Middleburg Baptist Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and Youth Choir Leader. She also attended her childhood church, Reedy Creek Baptist Church and loved to help at both in any she could.

Frances first worked at Carolina Sportswear in Warrenton and later went to work at Americal in Henderson and was the 5th employee hired there. She worked hard over the years starting as the sewing departments First Shift Supervisor and later becoming the Supervisor of Quality Control before retiring.

Rev. Eddie Nutt will conduct funeral services at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 30th at the Middleburg Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Reedy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.

She is survived by her children Vivian Kelly and husband Tim of Midlothian, Va, Opie May and wife Sherry of Littleton, Angela Salmon and husband Donnie of Henderson and Godson Scott Cable and wife Debbie of Creedmoor; her grandchildren, Megan Patrick(Ray), Brandon Salmon(Melanie), Vivien Salmon, Madison Kelly and Samantha Porch(Brandon); and her great grandchildren, Kyleigh Patrick, Aleah Ferrell and John Porch.

Pallbearers will be Brian Karns, Jamie Cable, Terry McDaniel, Finley Neal, Ray Patrick, Jr. and Joshua Cable.

Flowers are welcomed and the family asks that anyone preferring memorial donations to direct them to the Middleburg Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends prior to the service on Sunday from 1-2:00 pm at the church.
